Salice Salentino is the classic wine of Apulia. It is made of Negroamaro ( 80% ) and Malvasia Nera ( 20% ). The wine grows in the Guagnano region near Lecce. The Salice Salentino has a rubyred colour with light garnet shade. The wine has a fine nose of candied red fruit and tea. Well balanced acidity and tannins round off this smooth and luxurious wine. Alcoholic content 13,5%. Good with red meat, pasta with meat sauce, lamb and half ripened cheese.
