Primitivo is a typical Apulian wine. This pure Primitivo grows in the San Pietro region near Brindisi. After 6 months of maturation in barrique casks the wine gets its vivid rubyred colour with garnet red reflections. The Primitivo has a clear mineral bouquet of plums and cherries. In addition you find notes of leather and spices. On the palate Primitivo Cantele is explicitly smooht. In the finale it offers spicy clove, ripe fruit and cacao. The wine has soft tannins and a good acidity. Primitivo used to be a strong and rustic wine in former times. Today he is smooth in the mouth and a truly noble and elegant wine. Alcoholic content 13,5%. Good with pasta with meat sauce, red meat, lamb and ripe cheese.
