This pure Montepulciano is picked on the southern slopes of Rosso Conero DOC. This is a selection of grapes form the oldest part of the vineyard, the site Contrada Grigiano. The grapes are only then picked when they have matured towards the optimal point in time. Only then you get smooth tannins and the full body which is able to develop further in the barriques, the Barrili and Boticelle made from oak wood. After having matured for 14 - 16 months the Rosso Conero is kept for another 8 months on the bottle. It has an intense rubyred colour with garnet reflections. In the bouquet you find liquorice, wild cherries and mint which repeat themselves in the mouth with a full body. In the final the Grigiano shows leather, tobacco and spicy notes.
