2008 Magno Megonio Val di Neto IGT

Winery Librandi[ more Infos ]

The colour of Magno Megonio is a rich, deep purpurn with garnet red and nearly black reflections. Nicodemo Librandi has risen from ashes a grape which was meant to be forgotten with costly and long lasting trials: Magliocco. Magno Megonio is made purely from the Magliocco grape. This red wine is fruity with dry tannins and surprisingly complex. Magno Megonio has breathtaking scent shades of tobacco, paraffin, black berries and vanilla. In addition delicate fruits and spices. The taste of Magno Megonio is dry, velvety and heavy.  The wine has an abundance of finely-shaped aromas integrated in a warm coat of berries, tobacco, wood and leaves. The tannin is combined with a playful fruit sweetness. Therefore the tannins are hard to perceive. The final is long and warm. Magno Megonio is different to other red wines and a lasting delight. Alcoholic content 13,5%.
