Critone was one of the sons of Socrates. Therefore Critone must be a real great wine. It is the case in reality. This is the reason why Critone is often sold out in the cause of the year. Critone is made of selected Chardonnay-grapes ( 90% ) and some Sauvignon-grapes. The colour is bright straw yellow with golden reflections. It has an elegant nose with agreeable mineral accents. The taste is a nice balance between fruit and acidity. The swinging lightness of Chardonnay underlines this successful balance. The wine has a fine structure with a whiff of tropical fruit. Critone Librandi has an intense bouquet of Mango, pineapple and various citrus fruit. Alcoholic content 13%. Good as an Aperitif or to accompany vegetable- of cheese-soufflees. Critone Librandi is good with summer salads and grilled fish.
