2010 Roero Arneis Magia DOCG

Winery Francone[ more Infos ]

Arneis is an appealing white wine which is made of the oldest and most fascinating grapes of the Roero area. The name is linked to Bric Renesio, a high plateau near Canale. It was the wisdom of the inhabitants of the high plateau which made them name the wine Arneis. The word derives from the Piemontese dialect and means a human being who difficult, stubborn and sometimes unreliable. These attributes go well with this challenging wine which is difficult to process in some years. The pure Francone Roero Arneis Magia grows on a vineyard of the same name in the community of Castagnito. The wine has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. Roero Arneis Magia has a fruity and flowery bouquet of huge sustainability. Magia, in Italian magic, offers nice aromas of banana and pineapple. The taste is harmonious, dry with pleasant acidity and rich structure. Alcoholic content 12,5%. Good with meat broth, vegetable soup, seafood and rice dishes with fish.
