2010 Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG Paradiso

Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a white autocchtonous type of grape of Tuscany. It has nothing in common with the Vernaccia type of grape which grows for instance on Sardinia. The pyramid-like grapes of Vernaccia di San Gimignano are rather thick and long. At times they have growths at the side, so named wings. Its berries grow rather dense to each other. They have a medium size and a modest thick berry skin which is covered by a white frost like layer. Its colour is green and yellow with a tendency to amber at the side which points to the sun. Poderi del Paradiso Vernaccia di San Gimignano has a straw yellow colour. There are flowery and fruity aromas. Clearly you can sense nur tones. Aw well structured, full bodied and extract rich wine. The wine has a rather low content of alcohol and a well balanced acidity.
