2009 Langhe Nebbiolo DOC I Patriarchi

This Francone Nebbiolo is made purely of grapes of the same name. Usually these grapes are kept to produce the kings of Piemontese wine, Barbaresco and Barolo. The Nebbiolo for this red wine grows on the Cotta, Tetti and Rondo vineyards in the Neive community.The maceration of the skins lasts for 10-12 days. Then Langhe Nebbiolo Francone is left to mature for 12 months in oak casks and then for 6 months on the bottle. Nebbiolo I Patriarchi has a delicate, rich aroma with a an intense scent of ripe plums. Francone Nebbiolo enjoys with well-balanced tannins. Francone Langhe Nebbiolo is good with starters with meat, cheese-fondue, grilled meat, roast, ravioli, tagliatelle and medium ripe cheese.
