The Burgundy of Austria. Saint Laurent is a direct offshoot of Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir), which has adapted over the centuries on the regional climate, one of the oldest and probably originally Austrian varietals. The wines are very full of character. As the care in the vineyard is very costly and difficult, the variety is grown only in small quantities. Intense carmine red with a dark core, spicy, almost peppery note on the palate, dark berries, with the typical blackberry varieties, plenty of excitement on the tongue, very juicy and full flavored.
12.4% vol, 1.1 g / L residual sugar, 4.9 g / l acid.
In the summer, slightly chilled (16 ° C) as an alternative to white wine, otherwise classic 18 ° C. The St. Laurent goes well with rich foods, meat, especially lamb and game, but also pasta dishes are a good combination.
