Refosco is an autochthonous grape of ancient times from Friuli. The grapes have a red stem and the wine has an intense rubyred colour with reflections into violet. Refosco has a rich scent and fruity notes of wild blackberries, raspberries and plums. The bouquet offers scents which remind of liquorice, smoked meat and sweet spices. The taste of the Refosco is well-balanced and fruity with a trace of blackberry jam. Soft tannins support the long lasting final. The tannins are the reason for its potential to be kept for more than 5 years. Alcoholic content 13%. Perfect with rice- and pasta dishes with fish. For those who like it the wine is good with snails.
